Tissue-C and Corneal Float, TIS 001-00
12x 100ml + 12x Corneal Floats per box
TISSUE-C is a medium for organ culture of donor cornea at 31°C for up to 1 month, packaged in a bottle with a mouth internal diameter of more than 22 mm to facilitate handling procedures in an aseptic environment, thus minimizing the risk of contamination.
The solution contains an antibiotic and antimycotic mixture that guarantees an effective protection against bacteria and fungi, and the phenol red indicator to allow a rapid visualization of pH variations. No medium replacement is required during culture. Stability studies showed that alternate freezing-thawing cycles do not alter the physical-chemical properties of the medium. CornealFloat is an accessory to TISSUE-C, which is intended to suspend the cornea in the medium during organ culture.

Carry-C, CAR 001-00
12x 50ml + 12 Additional Caps per box
CARRY-C is a medium for corneal deswelling and transport at room temperature for up to 5 days, packaged in a bottle with a mouth internal diameter of more than 22 mm to facilitate handling procedures in an aseptic environment, thus minimizing the risk of contamination. The solution contains an antibiotic and antimycotic mixture that guarantees an effective protection against bacteria and fungi, and the phenol red indicator to allow a rapid visualization of pH variations. Stability studies showed that alternate freezing-thawing cycles do not alter the physical/chemical properties of the medium.
The package includes 12 additional caps, singularly packaged in a sterile pouch, to close the bottles before transport of corneas deemed suitable for transplantation, and avoid tampering since they have a tamper-evident security ring to be broken by the surgeon, when ready for tissue transplantation.

GPS 001-00, Gas-Permeable Stopper
100 per box
Gas-Permeable Silicone Stopper
is an accessory to Tissue-C, media for organ culture of donor cornea. GPS allows the gas exchange between media and environment, thus optimizing corneal culture. GPS is provided with a hole to suspend the cornea, thus avoiding contamination and cell detachment by contact with the vial walls. The package include aluminium crimps, which are used to seal the Tissue-C bottle and prevent caps from popping out during corneal culture. |
